This package fully prepares students for entry level Clinical Coding (ICD-10-AM) using the International Classification of Diseases – Australian Classification of Health Interventions (ACHI) and the Australian Coding Standards (ACS).

It is recognised for entry-level clinical coding work in Hospitals, Government, Insurance and Research organisations. This includes: analyse diseases, injuries and procedures undertaken at hospitals using ICD-10-AM according to National and Jurisdictional requirements.

Recognition of Prior Learning

If you are a Clinician (Medical Doctor , Registered Nurse or Midwife), your prior experience enables you to do an abridged version of the Diploma.  Please  ensure you upload copies of your credentials during the enrolment process.

eHE is authorised by the Australian Government to issue qualifications including certificates associated with this course.

Upon successful completion you will receive the Diploma of Clinical Coding (HLT50321) indicating that you have successfully shown your competence in the areas below.
